A Petit-Couronne Review by Ellen Pyburn (age 13)

My second trip to Petit Couronne.

I had a really good time!

My highlights were eating cake for breakfast, going to the huge hypermarket, meeting new French friends, the massive French meals (which were delicious) and going on a shopping and sightseeing trip to the local city Rouen.

We also learnt how to play pétanque (a French game a bit like boules) which was great fun and quite amusing as I speak very little French!

I really enjoyed hearing French being spoken all around me and learnt lots of new useful words and phrases – I even bought myself the French version of Tom Gates (the children’s book) to try reading and understanding French.

Our French family were really kind, and it was fun to try and understand what they were saying and try out a little bit of French myself.
