Beccles Twinning Association was formed in September 1978, and was a popular town activity for many years promoting international understanding and friendship and winning national awards
In 2013, with the support of Beccles Town Council, the organisation changed. Currently a small working party of volunteers are continuing the tradition of visits and other exchanges between our twin and partner towns, Petit-Couronne in France and Ahlem in Germany.

Business meetings are held regularly and the Minutes are kept at the Town Hall where a copy is kept and can be viewed by members of the public.
Membership is fully inclusive and open all. There is no fee to join, so we are reliant on the occasional grant and local fund raising activities.
